Spourtiko

This variety is found in several vineyards at Omodos, Kyperounda and in Panayia district, the name Spourtiko means bursting. The wine tasted was pale yellow in color and had a floral fragrance. The top is white and fluffy. The adult leaves are dark green, pearly, orbiculate, mainly 5-lobed with broad lateral sinuses, open and concave. The petionar sinus is closed lyre shape with overlapping edges. The teeth are ribbed and narrow. The underside is downy, whitish. The clusters are average, often with a well-developed side cluster, conical and loosely packed. The grapes are ovate, large, golden yellow with firm flesh, not very juicy and with four pips.
