Ophthalmo

This variety matures towards the end of July and at the beginning of August. The wine tasted in 1989 had a peppery smell. The top of the shoots is white and fluffy. The adult leaves are large, 5-lobed, the lateral sinuses are pointed and narrow. The petiolar sinus is narrow lyre shape or overlapping edges. The teeth are ribbed and average. The underside of the leaf is downy. The clusters are average size, conical, loosely packed, with a side cluster, 1-2 green pips. The grapes are round, average size, blue-black, juicy but with a firm flesh.
